Petition Circulators Pushing Hard towards Goal

Dear Friends of Denver Parks,
We’ve had a tremendous response in the last two weeks at the People’s Fair and Gay Pride Festival from Denver registered voters.  And we’ve made lots of new Friends of Denver Parks.   So would like to say hello to those who are new and have agreed to take petitions and circulate them, and for those just joining our list.

So would like to say that in the last two weeks we estimate 3500 signatures have been gathered.  We physically have in our possession 2700 signatures and from phone calls, we have been told there are about 800 signatures still in possession of the circulators.  And we haven’t gotten in touch with everybody who have petitions.  So at the very least we have 3500.   Celebrate our successes.  Yay! Hurrah! Yippee!  Thanks for all your hard work.
We have this weekend and next to get signatures and I am confident that if every person who currently holds a petition gets out this weekend and dedicates some time to this effort then we will easily get our numbers.  We have over 100 petitions out there.  That would give us the margin that we need as there will be signatures that are eliminated due to mistakes of some sort or another.  Please consider putting your shoulders to the wheel this weekend and getting us over the hump.
There are many events this weekend where crowds will be gathering.

6-8PM  be there about 5PM
There are thousands of people who attend and are very receptive to our petition effort.
I would like to see as many petitioners as possible for this event. Green t-shirts galore
